Pricing & Payments

Does Alan Health accept insurance for payment?

We understand that navigating payment options can be a hassle. At Alan, while we don’t accept insurance, we’ve worked hard to make our program affordable. We're committed to providing you with quality care that’s economical. However, you may be eligible for reimbursement via your FSA or HSA provider.

Can I get reimbursed through FSA/ HSA?

Both FSAs (Flexible Savings Accounts) and HSAs (Health Savings Accounts) allow you to set aside pre-taxed dollars from your paycheck to use for eligible medical expenses.

The full amount of your medical expenses are eligible for reimbursement. Exactly how much you get reimbursed depends on funds available in your FSA (Flexible Savings Account) and HSA (Health Savings Account). Please follow the guidelines and terms/conditions of your specific plan.

The average savings is 30% based on average state and federal tax rates.

We do not accept HSA/FSA cards at checkout, however, we provide detailed receipts post-purchase that you can submit directly for reimbursement.Alan customers can visit the "My Orders" tab in your portal to find your receipt (link here). From there, you can download your receipt and follow your HSA/FSA provider's reimbursement instructions.

If you need assistance with your receipt or documentation, please contact our customer care team at help@alanmeds.com.

Is my medication still safe and effective if it's exposed to hot temperatures during shipping?

In most cases, your medication should remain safe and effective, even if exposed to warm conditions during shipping. Studies have shown that compounded GLP-1 medication injections typically remain stable when exposed to temperatures as high as 104°F (40°C) for up to three days. If your vials feel warm to the touch upon arrival, they can usually still be used as long as you promptly refrigerate them at 36-46°F (2-8°C) once received.

However, if your medication arrives hot to the touch or you have any concerns about its condition, please contact us immediately. We will assess the situation and, if necessary, replace your medication at no additional cost to ensure your treatment remains safe and effective. Please note that while we take every precaution to ensure the safe delivery of your medication, we cannot guarantee that it will not be exposed to extreme temperatures during shipping due to factors beyond our control, such as weather conditions or carrier delays.'

Your health and satisfaction are our top priorities. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team at help@alanmeds.com.

Account Management

When will I be charged?

For monthly plans:

After your program begins, you’ll be automatically charged each month to continue receiving medication. You can view the specific date for your next order in your portal at alanmeds.com/login.

Medication

What is compounded medication?

Compounding is the process of creating a medication that’s tailored to the needs of an individual patient. For example, some patients may need a medication in liquid form when the FDA-approved drug comes in a tablet. Additionally, a pharmacy can compound medications of FDA-approved drugs that are listed on the FDA’s shortage list.

Compounded drugs are prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies that meet federal and state requirements, including quality standards. When compounding in compliance with federal and state law, compounded drugs are not subject to FDA approval and are not evaluated for safety or efficacy. See here for a detailed compounded semaglutide guide.

How do you ensure the quality of the medications?

Compounded medications through Alan Health' partner pharmacies undergo rigorous manufacturing processes and quality assurance measures. Each batch of products undergoes testing for sterility and potency. Our pharmacy partners also conduct quality audits on FDA registered API vendors to ensure the quality of the ingredients.

When will I see results from GLP-1 treatment?

GLP-1 medication typically takes several weeks to become effective. Each batch is tested by our pharmacy partners to ensure quality and accurate dosing. Our physicians create a personalized titration schedule based on your specific needs. For any questions about your dosage, please reach out through the Alan Health portal!

Is compounded medication the same as generic medication?

Compounded medications are not the same as a generic version. Generic versions of medications generally require the manufacturer to apply for FDA-approval by establishing that the generic is bio-equivalent to the brand name drug. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are compounded only pursuant to a specific prescription or if a drug is listed on the FDA’s shortage list by a compounding pharmacy with the right facility and environment to comply with applicable state and federal rules required prior to dispensing a compounded medication.

Acne Cream

Can I use this with other acne products?

It's best to avoid combining this cream with other strong actives like benzoyl peroxide, AHAs, or exfoliants, especially in the first few weeks. Stick to a gentle cleanser and moisturizer unless your provider advises otherwise.

Does it help with acne scars or dark spots?

Yes—tretinoin helps fade post-acne hyperpigmentation and smooth uneven texture by boosting skin renewal and collagen production.

How do I manage dryness or irritation?

Start with every-other-night use and add a basic moisturizer. Use gentle cleansers and avoid other strong actives until your skin adjusts.

Can I use it during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

No. Tretinoin is contraindicated during pregnancy and nursing—always check with your provider before use.

Can I wear makeup after applying?

Yes—wait 20–30 minutes after applying the acne cream so it fully absorbs before applying moisturizer or makeup.

Any sun precautions I should take?

Yes—tretinoin increases sun sensitivity. Use daily sunscreen (SPF 30+), wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure, especially during the first few weeks.

When should I notice clearer skin?

Most people begin noticing visible improvements between 8 and 12 weeks. Early on, your skin may feel drier or experience mild purging as it adjusts. With consistent use, you can expect fewer breakouts, smoother texture, and reduced redness over time.

Learn more about how our Acne Cream works, and what to expect, here.

Anti-Aging Complex

What are the potential side effects?

Mild side effects are common, especially during the first 4–6 weeks as your skin adjusts. These may include dryness, redness, peeling, irritation, or a stinging sensation after application. These symptoms usually improve with consistent use and proper skincare. To reduce irritation, start slowly (1–2 nights per week), moisturize regularly, and always use sunscreen during the day.

In rare cases, more serious reactions like rash, swelling, or severe irritation may occur. If you experience any of these, stop using the product and contact your healthcare provider.

Can I continue to use the Anti-Aging Cream long term?

Yes. This formulation is safe for long-term use and often becomes more effective over time. Many people use tretinoin as a foundational part of their ongoing skincare routine.

Can I use this with other products in my routine?

Yes, but avoid layering it with other potentially irritating products like AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, exfoliating scrubs, or other retinoids. Stick to gentle cleansers, moisturizers, and daily SPF. If you're unsure how to build your routine, start with cleanser → anti-aging cream → moisturizer → SPF (in the AM).

When can I expect to see results?

You may see early improvements in tone and texture in 6–8 weeks, with more visible results—like smoother, brighter skin and reduced discoloration—by 3 to 6 months of consistent use.

Is it safe for all skin types?

Yes—most skin types tolerate this formula well when introduced gradually. Sensitive skin users should buffer with a moisturizer. If irritation persists, pause use and check with your provider.

How often should I use the Anti-Aging Complex?

Start with 1–2 nights per week, especially if you have sensitive skin. Increase to nightly use as your skin adjusts. Mild peeling or dryness is common during the first few weeks.

How do I apply the Anti-Aging Complex?

Apply a pea-sized amount to the entire face at night on clean, dry skin. Avoid the eyes, mouth, and irritated areas. You can use a moisturizer after applying, or mix the two to ease irritation.

What is the Anti-Aging Complex and what does it do?

This anti-aging cream combines Tretinoin (0.05%), a prescription-strength retinoid, and Ascorbic Acid (10%), a potent form of Vitamin C. Together, they help reduce fine lines, fade dark spots, improve skin texture, and brighten overall tone. With consistent use, it can help reverse signs of sun damage and promote clearer, healthier-looking skin.

B12 Injection

Why choose a B12 injection over an oral supplement?

Injectable B12 delivers the vitamin directly into your bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system. This ensures better absorption, particularly for people with gastrointestinal conditions or difficulty absorbing nutrients from food.

Is Vitamin B12 safe for long-term use?

Yes. B12 is water-soluble, meaning your body excretes any excess through urine. Regular use is generally safe, but your healthcare provider may recommend monitoring your levels over time.

What is the difference between cyanocobalamin and methylcobalamin?

Cyanocobalamin is a stable, lab-made form of B12 that your body converts into its active form. It is a cost-effective method for treating common B12 deficiencies. Methylcobalamin is a naturally occurring form that may offer added benefits for those with severe deficiencies or neurological symptoms.

How quickly will I feel the effects?

Many people notice an improvement in energy and mental clarity within a few days of their first injection. For others, it may take a few weeks of consistent use. Results can vary depending on individual B12 levels and overall health.

What is Vitamin B12 and why is it important?

Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient that helps your body produce energy, maintain brain health, and form red blood cells. Without enough B12, you may experience fatigue, brain fog, low mood, or even anemia.

B12 / MIC

What are the side effects of B12/MIC?

Side effects are rare but may include mild discomfort at the injection site, nausea, or digestive upset. In very rare cases, allergic reactions like itching or swelling may occur. Always consult with your provider before starting treatment.

How does B12 / MIC support fat metabolism?

B12 helps convert fat into usable energy, while Methionine, Inositol, and Choline (MIC) assist the liver in breaking down and eliminating fat. Together, they support a more efficient metabolism.

How does B12/MIC complement weight loss programs?

B12/MIC supports weight loss by boosting energy, enhancing fat metabolism, and helping the body convert fat into usable fuel. It can make it easier to stay active, avoid fatigue, and break through plateaus—especially when combined with GLP-1s or other weight management treatments.

What makes B12/MIC different from regular B12?

B12/MIC offers all the benefits of standard B12 injections—like increased energy and better cell function—but adds lipotropic nutrients (Methionine, Inositol, and Choline) to further support fat metabolism, liver health, and weight loss. It’s a more targeted option for those looking to break through weight plateaus and boost metabolic results.

Generic Latisse

What happens if I stop using Generic Latisse?

If you stop applying Bimatoprost, your lashes will gradually return to their original appearance over several weeks to months. Continued use is needed to maintain results.

Is it safe?

Yes. Bimatoprost has been FDA-approved for eyelash growth and is widely used under medical supervision. Side effects are rare but may include mild eye irritation or darkening of the eyelid skin (which often reverses when treatment is stopped).

When will I see results from Generic Latisse?

Eyelash growth is gradual. Most users notice initial lengthening around 4 weeks, with increased thickness and darkness becoming more visible by week 8. Full results typically appear between 12 and 16 weeks. For best outcomes, apply the serum consistently each night—missed doses may delay progress.

How do I use Generic Latisse?

Begin by thoroughly cleansing your face and ensuring the eye area is dry. Contact lenses should be removed prior to application and can be reinserted after 15 minutes.

Take out sterile applicators. Use a different sterile applicator for each eyelash.

Once nightly, apply 1 drop of the medication to the applicator and apply evenly along the upper eyelid margin of one eyelash.

Discard the used applicator and repeat the process on the other eye using a new, unused applicator.

How does Generic Latisse work?

Bimatoprost extends the growth phase of the eyelash hair cycle, helping lashes grow longer and fuller over time. With daily application, many users see noticeable improvement within 8–12 weeks and full results by 16 weeks.

What is Generic Latisse and what is it used for?

Generic Latisse is a compounded formulation of bimatoprost 0.03%, the same FDA-approved active ingredient found in Latisse®. It is used to enhance eyelash growth—helping lashes appear longer, thicker, and darker.

Glutathione Injection

Can I use Glutathione with other treatments?

Yes. Glutathione pairs well with other wellness treatments such as NAD+, B12/MIC injections, or GLP-1s. Your provider can help build a plan that aligns with your goals.

What are potential side effects?

Side effects are rare but may include mild redness or discomfort at the injection site, abdominal cramping, bloating, allergic skin reactions, or bronchial irritation. Always notify your provider of any symptoms or existing medical conditions.

Do I need a prescription for Glutathione Injection?

Yes. Glutathione injections are prescription-strength and will only be provided if deemed appropriate by a licensed medical provider following your evaluation.

How long does it take to see results?

Some people feel clearer and more focused within an hour of injection. Others notice improvements in energy, skin tone, and overall wellness within a few weeks. Results vary based on frequency, dosage, baseline levels, and lifestyle.

How do I take a Glutathione injection?

Glutathione is administered as a subcutaneous injection—into the fatty tissue beneath the skin, typically in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.

Each vial contains 10 mL of compounded glutathione at 200 mg/mL. Your plan includes step-by-step injection instructions, and licensed providers are available through your portal if you need support.

What are Glutathione injections used for?

Glutathione injections are used to support detoxification, enhance skin clarity, boost immune function, and protect against oxidative stress. Many patients report feeling more energized, focused, and resilient.

Glutathione Nasal Spray

What is the difference between the Glutathione Nasal Spray and Glutathione Patches?

Our Glutathione Nasal Spray delivers fast absorption through the nasal membranes—ideal for those looking for quick, noticeable effects.

Our Glutathione Patches provide a slow, steady release over 4 hours, once per week—perfect for those who prefer a low-maintenance, sustained approach.

Many customers use both: patches for ongoing weekly support, and the spray for an on-demand boost when they need it most.

Can I use Glutathione Nasal Spray with other Alan Health treatments?

Yes! Glutathione Nasal Spray can be safely combined with most Alan Health offerings, including NAD+ Nasal Spray, B12/MIC injections, and Glutathione patches. Always consult your provider before starting multiple therapies.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes, Glutathione Nasal Spray is a prescription-strength treatment.

Do I have to refrigerate my Glutathione Nasal Spray?

Yes. Refrigeration helps preserve the stability and potency of the glutathione. Store in the refrigerator when not in use, and avoid excessive heat.

How quickly does Glutathione Nasal Spray work?

Many patients report feeling clearer and more focused within an hour of use. Individual results may vary based on dosage, overall health, and baseline glutathione levels.

How do I use Glutathione Nasal Spray?

Glutathione Nasal Spray is easy to use and rapidly absorbed through the nasal membranes for fast delivery. Recommended dose: spray 1–2 times into each nostril once daily, or as directed by your provider.

Glutathione Patches

How do I remove a Glutathione Patch?

To ensure it doesn’t come free, the adhesive used for the patch is strong. At the end of four hours, you can soak the patch for a few minutes with warm water to make the removal easier.

Can I exercise while wearing my Glutathione patch?

Yes — the patches are flexible and stay secure during workouts and daily activities.

What are potential side effects?

Mild skin irritation, redness, or tingling at the application site. Rarely, minor electrochemical burns if misused.

If skin irritation occurs, consider changing placement on the body (for example, alternating arms each week) to minimize irritation, if any. If irritation continues to occur, apply an over-the-counter itch cream, preferably with hydrocortisone.

How often should I wear the Glutathione Patch?

Standard protocol is to wear the patch once per week for four hours. Depending on your age, Glutathione levels, and health goals, you may elect to use it more or less often.

What is IontoPatch™?

A low-level electric iontophoresis device that safely and painlessly delivers medication through the skin into tissue. IontoPatch™ is manufactured with latex free components and is hypoallergenic, though rare skin irritation may occur.

What’s Included?
  • 6 Iontophoresis Patches
  • Glutathione Solution (200mg/mL) – dropper bottle
  • Sterile Saline Ampules
  • Ongoing doctor support in your Alan Health Portal
  • 100% US-based customer care
What can I expect?

These patches are fast-absorbing and generally well-tolerated with minimal downtime. Many users report improvements in energy, mental clarity, skin brightness, and recovery within weeks.

How do I use the Glutathione Patch?

Apply 20 drops of Glutathione solution to the (+) side and 1 mL of saline to the (–) side. Apply to clean, dry skin once weekly. Wear for at least 4 hours (longer wear optional). Rotate application sites for best results.

Hair Regrowth Serum

Will this serum work for my type of hair loss?

This serum is designed to help with many of the most common causes of hair thinning in women—including female-pattern hair loss, hormonal changes (like postpartum or menopause), stress, nutritional deficiencies, rapid weight loss, and even damage from over-styling.

If you’re noticing gradual thinning, a widening part, or excessive shedding, this treatment may help by strengthening your existing follicles and stimulating new growth. During your consultation, a medical provider will review your history to confirm it’s the right fit for you.

How does this complement GLP-1 or weight loss programs?

Rapid weight loss or nutrient shifts from GLP-1 medications can sometimes lead to temporary hair shedding. This formula supports regrowth by stimulating follicles, improving scalp health, and extending the hair growth phase—making it a valuable addition to your routine if you're on a weight management program.

Is Hair Regrowth Serum safe for color-treated or chemically processed hair?

Yes. The serum is generally safe for color-treated and chemically processed hair. If you have a sensitive scalp, it’s best to patch-test a small area before full use.

What are the potential side effects?

Some users may experience mild scalp irritation, including redness, itching, dryness, or flaking. Temporary increased shedding may occur during the first few weeks as hair follicles reset (a normal phase known as telogen effluvium). Rarely, users may experience allergic reactions or unwanted hair growth in areas where the serum is unintentionally applied. If symptoms persist, discontinue use and consult your provider.

Do I need to use it continuously?

Yes. To maintain results, continued daily use is necessary. If treatment is stopped, hair loss may gradually resume within 3 to 6 months.

When will I see results?

Hair regrowth takes consistency and time. Most people notice early improvements—like reduced shedding or the appearance of baby hairs—within 8 to 12 weeks of daily use. More visible regrowth, such as thicker, fuller hair, typically appears around 3 to 4 months. When used as directed, this formula supports hair regrowth within 8–16 weeks.

What is the Hair Regrowth Serum and how does it work?

The Hair Regrowth Serum is a prescription-strength topical treatment formulated to help regrow and thicken hair. It combines 4% Minoxidil, 1.7% Ketoconazole, and 2,000 IU/mL of Vitamin D3—a trio of active ingredients that work together to target key causes of hair loss.

With consistent use, the serum helps reduce excess shedding, support scalp health, and stimulate new growth. Over time, it encourages stronger, fuller, and visibly denser hair in thinning areas.

Hair Regrowth Spray

How is this different from the Hair Regrowth Serum or Oral Minoxidil?

The spray provides targeted topical treatment with no systemic exposure. The serum is a lower-concentration formula, while oral minoxidil affects the entire body and may be more suitable for advanced or widespread thinning.

Can I use a hair dryer after applying it?

It’s best to let the product dry naturally before using heat styling tools to preserve efficacy.

How long do I need to use the Hair Regrowth Spray?

Hair regrowth requires consistent use. For best results, plan to use the spray daily for at least 6 months. Stopping treatment may result in gradual loss of regrown hair.

What are the potential side effects?

Some users may experience mild scalp irritation, dryness, flaking, or redness—especially during the first few weeks of use. These effects are typically temporary and can often be managed by adjusting application frequency or layering with a gentle moisturizer. If irritation persists or worsens, consult your provider. Rarely, excessive use or sensitivity to ingredients may cause more significant inflammation or contact dermatitis.

Is this safe for color-treated or chemically processed hair?

Yes, the spray is safe to use on color-treated or chemically processed hair. Just ensure your scalp is clean and dry before application.

Can I use the Hair Regrowth Spray with other hair treatments?

Yes, this spray can often be used alongside oral finasteride, hair supplements, or low-level laser therapy. Always consult with your provider for personalized advice.

How long before I see results?

Some people notice less shedding and early regrowth as soon as 8–12 weeks in. More visible results—like improved density and coverage—typically appear between 4 to 6 months with daily use.

What is the Hair Regrowth Spray?

The Hair Regrowth Spray is a prescription topical treatment that combines three active ingredients—Minoxidil 7%, Tretinoin 0.025%, and Melatonin 0.5%—to support hair regrowth and improve scalp health. Applied once daily, it delivers a targeted approach to treating thinning hair and androgenetic alopecia without systemic exposure.

Lipo C Complex

Is this a weight loss drug?

Lipo C Complex is a supportive wellness injection — it’s not a stimulant or appetite suppressant. It’s designed to help your body burn fat more effectively and feel more energized while pursuing your health goals.

How long does it take to see results?

Some people feel a boost in energy within the first 1–2 weeks. Fat-burning and metabolism support tends to build gradually, especially when paired with consistent nutrition and movement.

What’s the difference between this and a B12 injection?

B12 injections deliver a single vitamin that helps with energy. Lipo C Complex includes B12's cousins — B1, B2, B6 — plus amino acids like Methionine and Carnitine that help your body burn fat and support metabolism. It’s more comprehensive for those looking for energy and weight support.

Can I take this with other medications or injections?

Yes, Lipo C Complex is generally safe to use alongside other treatments. Be sure to share your full health history and medications with your Alan provider, who will confirm if it’s the right fit for you.

What are the benefits of taking it?

Lipo C Complex supports fat metabolism, natural energy production, and liver detoxification. Many people also experience reduced fatigue, improved focus, and better progress toward weight loss goals when combined with healthy habits.

What is in Lipo C Complex?

Lipo C Complex is a weekly injection formulated with B vitamins, amino acids, and lipotropic agents like Methionine, Inositol, and Choline. These ingredients help convert fat into energy, support metabolism, and promote liver health — all important factors to achieve weight loss.

Low Dose Naltrexone

Can I take Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) long-term?

Many people take LDN for months or even years as part of their ongoing wellness plan. It’s considered a low-risk option for long-term use under medical supervision.

Can I take Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) with other medications?

LDN may interact with opioid-based medications and should not be used at the same time. Always consult your prescribing provider to review potential interactions with your current treatments.

Is a prescription required for Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)?

Yes. Even at low doses, naltrexone is a prescription-only medication and must be prescribed by a licensed provider.

When will I start seeing results?

You may start to feel subtle improvements—like better sleep, mood, or less discomfort—within a few weeks. Full benefits often build over several months of consistent use.

What are the potential side effects of Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)?

LDN is generally well-tolerated. Some people may experience vivid dreams, trouble sleeping, headaches, or mild digestive issues when starting. These effects typically fade as your body adjusts.

How does Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) work?

At low doses, naltrexone briefly blocks opioid receptors, prompting the body to produce more natural endorphins. These endorphins help calm the immune system and reduce chronic inflammation.

What is Low Dose Naltrexone used for?

Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN) is a well-tolerated medication that may support the immune system, reduce chronic inflammation, and improve mood and energy levels. Originally used at higher doses to treat addiction, at low doses it works very differently—by helping the body rebalance its immune response and increase natural endorphin production.

Metformin

Who should not take Metformin?

Microdosing Compounded Tirzepatide+

How do you ensure the quality of the medications?

We work with FDA-registered 503B pharmacy partners that meet the highest standards for sterility, potency, and quality. These federally regulated pharmacies are routinely inspected, batch-test all medications, and operate in tightly controlled environments.

Your safety is our priority—every pharmacy partner is carefully vetted to ensure full compliance with strict FDA standards.

Is this for weight loss?

Microdosing Compounded Tirzepatide+ is not for weight loss; its focus is on energy, balance, and long-term wellness. If weight loss is your main goal, ask your provider about higher-dose weight management protocols.

What benefits can I expect?

Most people notice steadier energy, improved digestion, and better balance within the first few weeks. Over time, it may support cardiovascular health, metabolic wellness, and other key foundations of healthy aging.

How often do I take it?

Microdosing Compounded Tirzepatide+ is injected once a week, ideally on the same day each week. Your plan will start with a very low dose and increase gradually to help your body adapt while minimizing side effects.

How is Microdosing different from Compounded Tirzepatide use?

Compounded tirzepatide protocols for weight loss are prescribed at higher-doses. Microdosing focuses instead on steady, low doses that your body can adapt to more comfortably, with the goal of promoting long-term energy, metabolic balance, and healthy aging.

What is Microdosing Compounded Tirzepatide+ and how does it work?

Microdosing Compounded Tirzepatide+ is a low-dose protocol to support long-term health and wellness. By starting with small, gradual doses of compounded tirzepatide, this approach aims to promote benefits like improved energy, cognitive function, and metabolic balance—while minimizing potential side effects.

What makes our Compounded Tirzepatide+ unique is that it is compounded with additional ingredients that may further support your health goals. Depending on your prescription, Compounded Tirzepatide+ may include:

  • B6 – may help ease nausea
  • B12 – supports energy and metabolism
  • Glycine – an amino acid that supports healthy metabolism and cellular function
  • NAD+ – involved in cellular energy production and healthy aging

These additions are selected by your prescribing provider based on your individual needs and treatment plan.

Microdosing Compounded Oral Semaglutide

How is microdosing different from standard GLP-1 use?

Microdosing typically uses lower doses than those prescribed for diabetes or weight management, focusing instead on promoting daily wellness and metabolic balance. Dosing strategies can vary based on individual goals.

How long will it take to notice benefits?

Results vary depending on health and lifestyle factors. Most people report feeling more balanced within the first few weeks, with improvements in energy, clarity, and overall wellness. Staying consistent with your schedule is key.

What are the potential benefits of Microdosing Compounded Semaglutide?

Microdosing Compounded Semaglutide is designed to support long-term wellness and healthy aging. By using low, consistent doses, it may help boost energy, improve mood and focus, support cardiovascular and metabolic health, reduce inflammation, and enhance cellular function—all while minimizing the side effects often associated with higher-dose GLP-1 protocols.

This gentle approach is ideal for individuals seeking longevity and wellness benefits.

How do you microdose with Compounded Semaglutide?

Microdosing compounded Semaglutide involves taking small doses—either as oral drops placed under the tongue or as a subcutaneous injection into the fatty layer of skin (such as the abdomen or thigh). Your provider will guide you on the dosing schedule best suited to your wellness goals.

What is Microdosing Compounded Semaglutide?

Microdosing Compounded Semaglutide is a low-dose protocol using either oral or injectable compounded Semaglutide medication to support long-term health and wellness. By starting with small, gradual doses, this approach aims to promote benefits like improved energy, cognitive function, and metabolic balance—while minimizing potential side effects.

NAD+ Face Cream

Why do I need to apply the cream to damp skin?

Moist skin helps the cream absorb more evenly and efficiently. A slightly damp surface allows for smoother application and may help extend the life of your product by preventing overuse.

How should I store my NAD+ Face Cream?

Store in the refrigerator with the cap tightly closed. Avoid heat and direct sunlight to preserve potency.

Refrigeration helps preserve the NAD+ and ensures the formula stays stable over time, especially in warmer climates. Applying the cream cool may also offer a calming, anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.

Can NAD+ interact with other skincare products?

Yes, it can generally be used alongside most skincare products. However, when layering with strong actives like retinoids, AHAs, or vitamin C, you may need to adjust timing or frequency to avoid irritation. For personalized guidance, consult your Alan Health provider.

Who should avoid using NAD+ Face Cream?

It’s not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or for those with certain skin conditions unless approved by a healthcare provider.

What are the potential side effects?

Mild tingling or redness may occur when first using the cream—this is generally temporary. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend testing a small amount before full application. Discontinue use and consult a provider if irritation persists.

Can I wear makeup over the cream?

Yes. Once the cream has fully absorbed, it creates a smooth base for makeup—and many users find their makeup applies more evenly.

When will I see results?

Many users notice a subtle glow within 30–60 minutes of application. Improvements in texture, tone, and fine lines typically appear within 4–8 weeks of consistent use.

How do I use NAD+ Face Cream, and how often?

Apply a pea-sized amount to clean, damp skin once daily—ideally in the evening. Allow it to fully absorb before layering other products. Use consistently for at least 8 weeks for best results.

What is NAD+ Face Cream?

As we age, NAD+ levels in the skin decline—slowing cellular repair and contributing to dullness and fine lines. This high-potency 10% NAD+ cream helps replenish those levels, supporting renewal, energy production, and a visibly healthier complexion.

NAD+ Injection

What’s the difference between the NAD+ injection, nasal spray, and patch?

All three options deliver NAD+, but they differ in speed, bioavailability, and focus areas. Some people use them in combination for layered support:

  • Injection: The fastest and most bioavailable. Delivers NAD+ directly into the bloodstream for quick cellular uptake—best for full-body effects like recovery, brain fog, and overall energy.
  • Nasal Spray: Designed for on-the-go brain support. Absorbs through the nasal mucosa to target the brain, promoting mental clarity and focus—great for busy days, jet lag, or afternoon slumps.
  • Patch: Slow and steady. Releases NAD+ over several hours through the skin, offering gentle, sustained support. A good no-needle option and can be stacked with other
Can NAD+ help with brain fog or burnout?

Yes—that’s one of the main reasons people use it. Many users report improvements in mental clarity, focus, and energy over time, especially when NAD+ is used consistently as part of a broader wellness plan.

What will I feel after the injection?

Most people feel completely normal after an NAD+ injection. Some may notice a brief sensation of warmth, flushing, or mild pressure in the chest or head—these effects are temporary and typically pass within minutes. Others report feeling more energized or mentally clear shortly after their injection, though individual responses can vary.

How long will it take to feel results?

Some people notice a boost in focus or energy within hours or days, especially after the first few doses. For most, benefits like reduced fatigue, clearer thinking, and better recovery build gradually over several weeks of consistent use. Think of it as recharging your body’s internal battery.

What is NAD+ and why is it important?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in every cell of your body. It’s essential for energy production, cellular repair, and brain function—but levels naturally decline by more than 50% with age, stress, and illness. Supplementing NAD+ can help restore focus, energy, and resilience.

NAD+ Nasal Spray

What are the potential side effects?

Most people tolerate NAD+ well, but some may experience side effects such as muscle aches, sleep disturbances, fatigue, nervousness, or mild headaches. These effects are typically short-term and uncommon.

How does NAD+ complement GLP-1 therapy?

NAD+ and GLP-1 therapies can work well together. While GLP-1s help regulate appetite and metabolic hormones, NAD+ supports cellular energy, metabolic efficiency, and recovery. Used in combination, they may enhance weight loss results and reduce fatigue. However, all treatment should be discussed with your provider.

Can I use NAD+ Nasal Spray with other supplements or medications?

Yes—NAD+ is generally safe to combine with other wellness treatments like GLP-1s, B12/MIC injections, and adaptogens. That said, you should always consult your healthcare provider, especially if you’re taking prescription medications or managing a health condition.

When will I feel the results?

Many people report feeling more mentally clear or energized within 30 to 60 minutes of use. However, results vary depending on your baseline NAD+ levels, lifestyle, and how consistently you use the product.

How is NAD+ Nasal Spray different from capsules or IVs?

Unlike oral supplements that pass through the digestive system or IV treatments that require clinic visits, our nasal spray is absorbed directly through the nasal mucosa. This allows for fast, targeted delivery, making it ideal for on-the-go use.

NAD+ Patches

How do I remove an NAD+ Patch?

To ensure it doesn’t come free, the adhesive used for the patch is strong. At the end of four hours, you can soak the patch for a few minutes with warm water to make the removal easier.

Is IontoPatch™ hypoallergenic?

Yes, IontoPatch™ is manufactured with latex free components and is hypoallergenic, though rare skin irritation may occur.

Can I exercise while wearing my NAD+ patch?

Yes. Our NAD+ patches are highly flexible and adhere well during normal daily activities, including exercise. They're designed to withstand significant motion and weight-bearing exercises.

What are potential side effects?
  • Mild skin irritation, redness, or itching at the application site
  • Tingling or warmth during use due to the electric current
  • Rarely, allergic reactions or minor electrochemical burns with misuse

If skin irritation occurs, consider changing placement on the body (for example, alternating arms each week), to minimize irritation, if any. If irritation continues to occur, apply an over-the-counter itch cream, preferably with hydrocortisone.

Where should I place the NAD+ Patch?

Ideally, place the patch where hair will not interfere with mild adhesive. Common locations are upper arm, abdomen, back, and thigh.

How often should I wear the NAD+ Patch?

Standard protocol is to wear the patch once per week for four hours. Depending on your age, NAD+ levels, and health goals, you may elect to use it more or less often.

How do I use it?

Apply 20 drops of NAD+ solution to the (+) side of the patch and 1 mL of saline to the (–) side. Wear one patch weekly for at least 4 hours. Extended wear may continue for additional absorption, though most delivery occurs in the first 4 hours.

What is IontoPatch™?

A low-level electric iontophoresis device that safely and painlessly delivers medication through the skin into tissue.

What’s included with the NAD+ Patches?
  • 6 Iontophoresis Patches
  • NAD+ Solution (400mg/mL) – dropper bottle
  • Sterile Saline Ampules
  • Ongoing doctor support in your Alan Health Portal
  • 100% US-based customer care

Oral Acne Treatment - Spironolactone

Why is spironolactone typically prescribed only for women?

Spironolactone treats acne and hair concerns by blocking androgens. In men, this can lead to side effects like breast tenderness or lower testosterone, so it’s generally prescribed only for women.

What happens if I stop taking Oral Acne Treatment?

If you stop treatment, your hormonal acne may return over time. Always speak with your provider before making any changes to your medication plan.

Can I take Oral Acne Treatment with topical acne treatments?

Yes. Many patients combine spironolactone with topicals like tretinoin or benzoyl peroxide for enhanced results. Your provider can recommend the best regimen for your skin type.

Is Oral Acne Treatment safe for long-term use?

Yes. With appropriate monitoring by your provider, spironolactone can be used safely over the long term to manage hormonal acne.

What are the potential side effects?

Common side effects may include increased urination, breast tenderness, or changes in menstrual cycles. Serious side effects are rare but should be reported to your provider right away.

Will my acne get worse before it gets better?

Some people experience a brief “purging” phase during the first few weeks, where breakouts may temporarily increase as pores begin to clear. This typically resolves as the treatment starts working.

How long will it take to see results from Oral Acne Treatment for acne?

Most users begin noticing improvements between 8–12 weeks of daily use, with full results often seen after 4–6 months. Because spironolactone works gradually, consistency is key.

Visit our Resource Center for more information on what to expect over time with oral spironolactone.

Who is Oral Acne Treatment best suited for?

It’s especially effective for adult women with hormonal acne, particularly those who experience breakouts along the jawline or chin, or who have flare-ups around their menstrual cycle or due to conditions like PCOS.

What is Oral Acne Treatment used for in skincare?

Oral Acne Treatment (Spironolactone) is a prescription oral medication primarily used to treat hormonal acne in women. It works by blocking androgens—hormones that can cause excess oil production and deep, cystic breakouts.

Oral Compounded GLP-1

How do you ensure the quality of the medications?

Compounded medications through Alan Meds' partner pharmacies undergo rigorous manufacturing processes and quality assurance measures. Each batch of products undergoes testing for sterility and potency. Our pharmacy partners also conduct quality audits on FDA registered API vendors to ensure the quality of the ingredients.

When will I see results from GLP-1 treatment?

It typically takes several weeks to see results from GLP-1 medications. Each batch is tested by our pharmacy partners to ensure quality and accurate dosing. Our physicians create a personalized titration schedule based on your specific needs. For any questions about your dosage, please reach out through the Alan Health portal!

See here for a detailed compounded GLP-1 guide.

Oral Sermorelin

Who is not a good candidate for Sermorelin?

Sermorelin may not be right for you if you have an active cancer diagnosis, uncontrolled diabetes, untreated thyroid conditions, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Always review your full medical history with your provider.

Can Sermorelin interact with other medications?

Sermorelin can interact with glucocorticoids, thyroid hormones, and other medications that affect growth hormone levels. Always inform your healthcare provider of all medications you are taking.

What does it taste like?

Mild and slightly sweet—most patients find it easy to tolerate.

What happens if I miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, skip it and resume your usual schedule the next day. Do not double-dose.

What are the common side effects?

Common side effects include headache, flushing, dizziness, and nausea. These are usually mild and transient. Serious side effects are rare but should be discussed with your doctor immediately.

What’s the best way to maximize results with Sermorelin?

To get the most out of Sermorelin: Strength train 2–4 times per week, follow a balanced, protein-rich diet, prioritize 7–9 hours of quality sleep nightly, and stay well-hydrated. Managing stress levels can also help maximize recovery and metabolic benefits. For additional tips and resources, visit our Resource Center!

How do I take Oral Sermorelin?

Oral Sermorelin is a medicated lozenge (called a troche) that dissolves slowly between the cheek and gum or under the tongue, typically over 15–30 minutes. The medication in a troche is absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the rich network of blood vessels in the oral mucosa.

How long does it take to see results with Sermorelin?

Most users begin to notice improvements in sleep quality and recovery within the first 4–6 weeks. Changes in body composition, such as increased lean muscle and reduced fat mass, typically become more noticeable after 3–6 months of consistent use, combined with exercise and a healthy diet.

Oral Minoxidil

What are the potential side effects?

Oral minoxidil is generally well tolerated, especially at the low doses used for hair loss. Some people may notice mild effects like increased body hair or occasional lightheadedness. Serious side effects are rare, and your provider will help monitor for anything unexpected during treatment.

What happens if I stop taking Oral Minoxidil?

Hair regrowth may gradually reverse over time. For ongoing results, continued use under provider supervision is recommended.

Can both men and women use Oral Minoxidil?

Yes. Oral Minoxidil can be prescribed to both men and women for hair loss. Your provider will tailor the dose and plan based on your goals and health profile.

When will I see results?

Most users begin to see visible results within 3 to 6 months of consistent daily use. Staying on track is key—results build gradually over time. Learn more about what to expect in our Resource Center.

How is Oral Minoxidil different from topical minoxidil?

While both forms help stimulate hair growth, Oral Minoxidil works internally—throughout the body—rather than being applied directly to the scalp. Many people prefer it for its ease of use and because it avoids common issues like scalp irritation or inconsistent application.

What is Oral Minoxidil used for?

Oral Minoxidil is a low-dose prescription medication used off-label to treat hair thinning and pattern hair loss in both men and women. It promotes regrowth by increasing blood flow to the scalp and reactivating dormant hair follicles.

Personalized Compounded Semaglutide+

How is this different from the semaglutide I’ve heard about or taken before?

The biggest difference is that ours is compounded with helpful additives—like B6—to make treatment more comfortable. Otherwise, it works just like standard semaglutide, targeting GLP-1 and GIP hormones to help reduce appetite, improve blood sugar, and support weight loss.

Does adding B12 make semaglutide less effective?

Not at all. The semaglutide in your prescription is the same strength. The B12 is simply there to help your body tolerate it better—it doesn’t weaken the medication or change how it works.

What’s the reason for adding Vitamin B12?

We add Vitamin B12 to help support energy and metabolism, as low energy and fatigue can be common when starting or adjusting semaglutide. Many people find it makes the experience of starting or increasing their dosage much smoother.

Why is semaglutide available again?

Our trusted 503B compounding pharmacy partners are now offering semaglutide with important additives, like B12, to improve the patient experience. You get the GLP-1 receptor agonist—paired with doctor-led guidance and the same price for every dose.

Can I take semaglutide with other medications?‍

Always check with your provider. Some diabetes or blood pressure medications may need dose adjustments when you start semaglutide.

How long does it take to see results?‍

Most users begin noticing appetite changes in the first few weeks and measurable weight loss by weeks 4–8. Optimal results often build over 3–6 months or more.

Is Semaglutide approved for weight loss?

Semaglutide is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes (as Ozempic) and for weight loss (as Wegovy).

How often do I take it?‍

Semaglutide is taken once a week, ideally on the same day and time each week. Your provider will start you at a low dose and gradually increase it to help your body adjust and minimize side effects.

What is semaglutide and how does it work?‍

Semaglutide is a once-weekly injection that supports weight loss and helps regulate blood sugar. It works by activating the GLP-1 receptor—a natural hormone pathway that helps reduce appetite, slow digestion, and improve how your body processes sugar and fat.

At Alan Health, your compounded semaglutide is made in FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facilities. These facilities meet strict federal and state requirements, follow rigorous quality and sterility standards, and are regularly inspected by the FDA. This ensures every dose is produced to the highest safety and consistency standards—while allowing for customizations that support your health and comfort.

Compounded Tirzepatide+ injections are taken once a week, ideally on the same day and time each week. Your personalized, doctor-guided plan will start at a low dose and gradually increase it to help your body adjust and minimize side effects.

What is Compounded Tirzepatide+ and how does it work?

Tirzepatide is a prescription medication that supports weight loss and helps regulate blood sugar. It works by activating two natural hormone pathways—GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide)—to help reduce appetite, slow digestion, and improve how your body processes sugar and fat.

What makes Compounded Tirzepatide+ unique is that it is compounded with additional ingredients that may further support your health goals. Depending on your prescription, Tirzepatide+ may include:

  • B6 – may help ease nausea

Rosacea Treatment

Do I need to keep using it to maintain results?

Yes. Like most rosacea treatments, continued use is important for keeping symptoms under control. If you stop treatment, redness and flare-ups may gradually return. Your provider can help adjust your routine based on your skin’s response over time.

What will it feel like when applied?

Some users may experience a mild tingling or dryness during the first few uses. This is normal and typically fades as your skin adjusts. Most people find the gel lightweight and non-irritating.

Can I use this gel with other skincare or makeup?

Yes—apply the Rosacea Treatment to clean, dry skin first, and allow it to fully absorb before layering moisturizers, sunscreen, or makeup. If you’re using other prescription products, consult your provider to avoid potential irritation.

Is Rosacea Treatment safe for sensitive skin?

Yes—this formula is designed for rosacea-prone and sensitive skin. However, as with any topical treatment, start with a patch test and follow provider instructions.

How long does it take to see results?

Most people begin noticing improvements in redness and texture within 3–4 weeks. Results continue to build with consistent daily use, with clearer, more balanced skin often visible by week 6.

Visit our Resource Center for more information on what to expect over time

What is the Rosacea Treatment?

It’s a dermatologist-formulated gel that combines four active ingredients—Azelaic Acid, Ivermectin, Metronidazole, and Niacinamide—to reduce redness, bumps, inflammation, and flare-ups associated with rosacea.

The Spot Corrector

What if my skin gets worse before it gets better?

Some users experience temporary purging or mild sensitivity in the first few weeks. This usually resolves as your skin adjusts. If irritation persists, reduce frequency or consult your provider.

Can I use The Spot Corrector with makeup?

Yes, this cream layers well under makeup and moisturizers. Allow it to fully absorb before applying other products.

Can I use The Spot Corrector during the day?

The Spot Corrector can be used day or night. If using during the day, daily sunscreen (SPF 30+) is essential to protect treated skin and prevent new dark spots from forming. Using sunscreen enhances results and helps maintain even tone.

Will this work on older discoloration or deep melasma?

Yes—The Spot Corrector targets both new and existing pigmentation, including melasma. However, deeper or longstanding discoloration may take longer to fade.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Yes—this formula is designed to be gentle, with barrier-supportive niacinamide. You may experience slight tingling at first, but it’s typically well tolerated.

Can I use this with other skincare products?

Yes. Apply The Spot Corrector to clean skin before layering moisturizers or sunscreen. Avoid using it at the same time as other active treatments (like retinoids or exfoliating acids) unless directed by your provider.

How long until I see results on dark spots?

Most people begin to see subtle fading of dark spots within 4–8 weeks, with full results typically visible by 12–16 weeks of consistent use. For a deeper dive into what to expect, visit our Resource Center.

What is The Spot Corrector?

The Spot Corrector is a prescription-strength cream that targets dark spots, melasma, and post-acne marks using a dermatologist-formulated blend of azelaic acid 15%, tranexamic acid 4%, and niacinamide 1%.  It's designed to gently fade discoloration and even skin tone.
