Understanding your insulin syringe

Measuring your dose
Insulin syringes are used for subcutaneous injections. They are marked in Units on the insulin syringe barrel (see illustration). Insulin syringes facilitate the precise measurement of tiny amounts of liquids which are ideal for medications such as insulin that require small and accurate dosing. Unit marks are also expressed in mL’s and can be interchangeably referenced. A prescriber may write a prescription in Units or in mL’s.
Within the amount of liquid is the prescribed mg dosage of your medication (see mg chart). Milligrams (mg) is not an amount of liquid, but rather the amount of drug that is within. The conversion between units and milligrams varies depending on the concentration of the product being used.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Generic Latisse used for?
Bimatoprost, the generic version of Latisse®, contains the same FDA-approved ingredient to promote longer, thicker, and darker eyelashes. Our serum includes 0.03% Bimatoprost in an ophthalmic solution, with applicators included—ideal for lash growth support.
How does Generic Latisse work?
Bimatoprost extends the growth phase of the eyelash hair cycle, helping lashes grow longer and fuller over time. With daily application, many users see noticeable improvement within 8–12 weeks.
How do I use Generic Latisse?
Begin by thoroughly cleansing your face and ensuring the eye area is dry. Contact lenses should be removed prior to application and can be reinserted after 15 minutes.
Take out 2 sterile applicators. Use a different sterile applicator for each eyelash.
Once nightly, apply 1 drop of bimatoprost 0.03% to the applicator and apply evenly along the upper eyelid margin of one eyelash. Do not apply to the lower lashes.
Discard the used applicator and repeat the process on the other eye using a new, unused applicator.
When will I see results from Generic Latisse?
Eyelash growth is gradual. Most users notice initial lengthening around 4 weeks, with increased thickness and darkness becoming more visible by week 8. Full results typically appear between 12 and 16 weeks. For best outcomes, apply the serum consistently each night—missed doses may delay progress.
What are the potential side effects of Generic Latisse?
Common side effects include eye redness, dryness, or darkening of the eyelid skin. These effects are usually mild and temporary. In rare cases, Generic Latisse may cause brown darkening of the colored part (iris) of your eye. Seek immediate medical care if this occurs.
If Generic Latisse is discontinued, lashes gradually return to their previous appearance. For a complete list of interactions and potential side effects, please read the important safety information.
What happens if I stop using Generic Latisse?
If you stop applying Bimatoprost, your lashes will gradually return to their original appearance over several weeks to months. Continued use is needed to maintain results.
How do I store Generic Latisse?
Store Generic Latisse in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Room temperature between 36°F and 77°F is ideal. A bathroom medicine cabinet is a convenient option for keeping both the solution and sterile applicators protected and easily accessible.
