Instructions
This information is intended for individuals who have been prescribed Minoxidil/Ketoconazole/Vitamin D3 Hair Regrowth Serum by their Alan Health provider.
How to Use
- Apply 0.5 to 1 full dropper of the solution once per day, ideally at night or as directed by your provider.
- Use the dropper to apply directly to the crown of the scalp, or dispense into your hands and massage gently into areas of thinning.
- Wash hands thoroughly after application to remove any remaining medication.
- Do not wet or wash your hair for at least 4 hours after applying.
Try to be consistent and apply it around the same time every day (many find it easiest to do at night before bed). Consistency is key for the best results!
Important: This product is for use on the scalp only. Avoid contact with the face, neck, or other areas, as it may stimulate unintended hair growth.
Understanding your insulin syringe

Measuring your dose
Insulin syringes are used for subcutaneous injections. They are marked in Units on the insulin syringe barrel (see illustration). Insulin syringes facilitate the precise measurement of tiny amounts of liquids which are ideal for medications such as insulin that require small and accurate dosing. Unit marks are also expressed in mL’s and can be interchangeably referenced. A prescriber may write a prescription in Units or in mL’s.
Within the amount of liquid is the prescribed mg dosage of your medication (see mg chart). Milligrams (mg) is not an amount of liquid, but rather the amount of drug that is within. The conversion between units and milligrams varies depending on the concentration of the product being used.

Safety information
The Hair Regrowth serum is generally well tolerated when used as directed. The most common side effects are mild scalp irritation, including redness, dryness, itching, or flaking at the application site. These symptoms often improve as your scalp adjusts to the treatment.
In some cases, users may experience increased shedding during the first few weeks of use. This is a known effect called telogen effluvium, which occurs as older hairs make way for new growth and is usually temporary.
Unintended hair growth can occur if the product comes into contact with areas beyond the scalp, such as the face or neck. Be careful to apply only to the scalp and wash your hands thoroughly after use.
Rare side effects may include dizziness, chest pain, rapid heartbeat, or allergic reaction (such as rash or swelling). If you experience any of these symptoms, discontinue use and seek medical attention.
This product is for external use only. Do not apply to broken, irritated, or sunburned skin. Avoid contact with eyes, and keep out of reach of children. Not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless approved by your healthcare provider.
Keep away from pets: Minoxidil is highly toxic to animals—especially cats. Even trace amounts can be harmful or fatal if ingested or absorbed through their skin. Do not allow pets to come into contact with the product, your scalp immediately after application, or any surfaces (pillows, furniture, hands) that may have residue. Store the bottle securely out of reach.
Note: The above statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Hair Regrowth Serum and how does it work?
The Hair Regrowth Serum is a prescription-strength topical treatment formulated to help regrow and thicken hair. It combines 4% Minoxidil, 1.7% Ketoconazole, and 2,000 IU/mL of Vitamin D3—a trio of clinically backed ingredients that work together to target key causes of hair loss.
With consistent use, the serum helps reduce excess shedding, support scalp health, and stimulate new growth. Over time, it encourages stronger, fuller, and visibly denser hair in thinning areas.
When will I see results?
Hair regrowth takes consistency and time. Most people notice early improvements—like reduced shedding or the appearance of baby hairs—within 8 to 12 weeks of daily use. More visible regrowth, such as thicker, fuller hair, typically appears around 3 to 4 months. This formula is clinically proven to support hair regrowth within 8–16 weeks when used as directed.
Do I need to use it continuously?
Yes. To maintain results, continued daily use is necessary. If treatment is stopped, hair loss may gradually resume within 3 to 6 months.
What are the potential side effects?
Some users may experience mild scalp irritation, including redness, itching, dryness, or flaking. Temporary increased shedding may occur during the first few weeks as hair follicles reset (a normal phase known as telogen effluvium). Rarely, users may experience allergic reactions or unwanted hair growth in areas where the serum is unintentionally applied. If symptoms persist, discontinue use and consult your provider.
Is Hair Regrowth Serum safe for color-treated or chemically processed hair?
Yes. The serum is generally safe for color-treated and chemically processed hair. If you have a sensitive scalp, it’s best to patch-test a small area before full use.
How does this complement GLP-1 or weight loss programs?
Rapid weight loss or nutrient shifts from GLP-1 medications can sometimes lead to temporary hair shedding. This formula supports regrowth by stimulating follicles, improving scalp health, and extending the hair growth phase—making it a valuable addition to your routine if you're on a weight management program.
Will this serum work for my type of hair loss?
This serum is designed to help with many of the most common causes of hair thinning in women—including female-pattern hair loss, hormonal changes (like postpartum or menopause), stress, nutritional deficiencies, rapid weight loss, and even damage from over-styling.
If you’re noticing gradual thinning, a widening part, or excessive shedding, this treatment may help by strengthening your existing follicles and stimulating new growth. During your consultation, a medical provider will review your history to confirm it’s the right fit for you.
